Climate change is already affecting the lives of many children in Zambia, especially those in low-income and climate-vulnerable communities. Yet climate education is often missing from the learning experience of children who are most exposed to its impacts.
Climate in a Box provides school-based climate education alongside our education support programmes. The project equips learners with age-appropriate knowledge on climate change, local impacts, and practical solutions, while encouraging leadership and action within schools and communities.
Through classroom learning, climate clubs, tree planting, and peer-led activities, children develop climate awareness, confidence, and agency. Climate in a Box ensures that vulnerable learners are not left behind in conversations about climate change and are empowered to understand and respond to the challenges shaping their future.
Climate in a Box strengthens our education work by making climate education accessible, relevant, and rooted in the lived experiences of the children we serve.
